Homefield Neighborhood, St. Charles Communities, LLC. EnviroProjects oversaw the environmental compliance process of a 360-acre staged surface mine and multi-family residential development. Services included wetland delineation of forested and reclaimed surface mine lands, soil remediation, and State/Federal Section 404 Clean Water Act permitting and 3.2 acres of wetland mitigation. Soils remediation was required for the approximately 17-acre Sportsman’s Club firing range leased area. Remediation services included sampling, laboratory analysis, Phase II Site characterization.
COPT, National Business Park, Underground Communication Duct Bank. EnviroProjects provided wetland delineation and permitting services. Conducted Waters of the US delineation studies and reporting, and prepared the Joint State/Federal Section 404 Clean Water Act permit for crossing of an intermittent and ephemeral stream channel and directional drilling under wetlands and buffers.
Tipton Airport Airspace Obstruction Clearing. EnviroProjects provided technical assistance for the clearance of the Obstacle Free Area (OFA) of the runway, under federal aviation safety regulations (FAR Part 77). Services included wetland delineation of 40-acres of off-Airport contiguous property within the Patuxent Wildlife Research Refuge managed by the US Fish & Wildlife Service. Coordinating State and Federal Clean Water permits for the removal of +10-acres of trees within with airport OFA. Mitigation site search and mitigation banking negotiation and coordination.
City of Rockville Water Treatment Plant. EnviroProjects successfully completed state/federal Section 404 Clean Water Act permitting services for the relocation of an intermittent stream, Waters of the US in Culvert. Proposed construction of a gravity clarifier at the Water Treatment Plant requires relocation a 300 linear foot stream culvert.
Hayes Property Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. EnviroProjects performed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) for the transaction of a 7-acre amalgam of five properties. Phase I ESA was conducted consistently with the principles of ASTM E 1527-05 standards. Services included review of state/federal databases, historic aerial photographs and topographic maps, Sanborn mapping, field inspection and document preparation. Phase I ESA services were completed in less than 2 weeks.
Tipton Airport Authority, Rare Species Study. EnviroProjects conducted a botanical survey to identify to extent of Juncus polycephalus population on site. Juncus polycephalus is a state rare species that was reported at the airport in 2002 and 2003. Serving as lead botanist, EnviroProjects coordinated Maryland Department of Natural Resources concurrence and successfully proved that the species was not present at the airport and special rare species protections were abandoned.
